Late Bronze Age bronze sword

Sword blade fragment. Small sword blade fragment, possibly from the narrowest section along the upper blade of a leaf shaped sword. In cross-section, the middle section is gently rounded and is bordered by gently concave outer surfaces. In side view, the fragment is bent, indicating the sword to have been deliberately broken by bending in antiquity. No original blade edges survive, margins being entirely chipped and corroded, however striations along one section of the blade bevel indicates it was sharpened ready for use. One face is markedly more corroded than the other with a light green patina and small bubble holes revealed. The other has a grey green patina.
