Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Bronze awl (?), rectangular in section at the centre, taper to a point at one end where it is broken, and to a slightly narrowed chisel edge at the other. It has not been hammered so is unlikely to have been a metal workers tool. An almost exact parallel can be found form the Heathery Burn Cave deposti, Co. Durham (Inventaria Arcaheologica GB 55)
Site Name: The Breidden Hillfort, Criggion
Notes: Excavated by the Clwyd-Powys Arch. Trust. Context B0415 - Bronze Age occupation soil behind rampart.
