Cup, two-handled

Two-handled cup, silver, standing on a spreading foot, with curved slightly tapering sides and slightly flared rim, cast S-scroll handles; the sides finely engraved with chinoiseries featuring eight exotic birds, a snake, exotic plants and ruins, a matted band below with leaf-like projections, elaborately shaped matted panels beneath each handle, the foot decorated with two incised lines, the handles with beading as part of the casting.
