Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Escritoire, in 2 pieces; exterior veneered with walnut over oak; frieze on top, with secret drawer below; front flap has brass lock escutcheon; interior of upper portion has 3 sets of pigeon holes above 2 sets of 3 drawers and a central cupboard door (which conceals 4 drawers in centre), in turn above a flat drawer flanked by 2 pairs of 2 drawers all with later brass drophandles; all drawer linings have been renewed (probably late 19th century); interior of writing flap veneered with rosewood, with square of green baize in centre; lower portion has 2 long drawers below 2 short drawers, all with 18th c. drop handles, plates and escutcheons; 4 bracket feet of base are probably later replacements.
