Early Medieval human remains
These are remains from the Inhumation Burial of a Young Adult (20-25 years) who was Male They are well preserved with over 75% remaining.
They were buried in an extended supine position in a simple grave oriented West-East The burial is from Phase D: 529-709 AD
His teeth had Calculus, Caries, Periodontal Disease and Dental Enamel Hypoplasia
His bones had evidence for Blunt Force Trauma to the skull that had later healed. He recieved a blow tothe R Parietal/Frontal described as: A shallow uneven depression (59.2x29.7mm) anterior portion of the right partial and the posterior medial of the frontal bone. Full extent is unclear due to post mortem damage.
