Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Three body sherds from a glazed jug. This vessel is in a much finer fabric which is cream but light grey at the core. The external surface bears a good quality very pale green glaze with applied brown ferruginous strips. Possibly a Bristol product?
Site Name: Tredegar Park, Newport: Gwent
Notes: Found on a housing site. Reportedly recovered in late 1977 during building operations near St. Joseph's School, Tredegar Park. The discovery of the pottery was only reported after work on the site was completed and there appears to be no additional information available concerning the find-spot itself.
