Stone altar slab, believed to have come form St James' Church Kenfig which was abandoned (mid - late 15th century) by encroaching sand dunes. Moved to St Mary Magdalene Church, Kenfig, but discarded during or after Reformation and used as paving flags in path leading to Church. Resulting foot traffic and weathering has caused considerable erosion to upper surface. Incorporated in reconstruction of St Teilo's Church as high altar. The underside and sides of the slab are in good condition and retain original chisel marks.
