Coffee cup, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a short cylindrical foot-rim, cylindrical sides tapering inwards towards the base and with a very slightly flaring lip-rim, double-curved scrolled loop handle with foliate-moulding to the shoulder; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to the front of the exterior body of the cup a landscape with a standing male figure wearing a red jacket and holding a black hat, the landscape enclosed on three sides by a rococo border of puce scrolls, to the rest of the exterior sides of the cup two sprigs of flowers and leaves, around the interior lip-rim a scalloped border in puce, a gilt edge to the lip-rim, the handle picked out in puce and gilt. The foot-rim slightly chipped.
