Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Plate, buff earthenware, covered with a pale-blue-tinged tin-glaze, with some pinkish colouration to underside and three prominent stilt marks, standing on a recessed base, spreading, cushion-moulded sides, forming a central well with steeply sloping sides and a gently sloping wide rim; decorated in underglaze blue, in the centre, with the inscription and date, 'Eliz th Sanders Llanablodwell 1750', within an ornate eight sided cartouche; around the rim, with five oval panels containing Chinese-style symbols of cylinders and waved lines reserved on a diaper work ground; the rim heavily chipped exposing the earthenware body.
