Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Cap produced in 1986 to commemorate an event held in Esteli, Nicaragua, to mark the 7th anniversary of the 1979 revolution. Worn by Alun Burge.
White peaked cap with black and red print on front. Single layer of fabric for side and crown, padded peak, sweatband, elasticated section at centre back (elastic is white with a thin blue line). Raw edges on turned back edges on inside of cap. Printed inscription in black: 'BIENVENIDO A ESTELI AL 7 MO ANIVERSARIO'. The number seven printed in red and black to resemble brush strokes, against a background of a broad red/black stripe. Design is outlined with a black oval line.
