Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Tray, mahogany, circular base in one piece, vertical side wall formed from a single steam-bent strip, its outer face apparently veneered, joined by a rectangular brass plate screwed in place (possibly a repair), the top edge veneered with a decorative band comprising a series of dark squares between diagonally cut lines alternating dark and light and pale stringing on the outer edges, the side screwed to the base with the screwheads on the underside covered with plugs, two plain brass loop handles attached to the outer face, one fixed by rivets to small narrow plates on the inner face, the other screwed in place at the join of the side.
