Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Obverse. Very akin to the Seventh (‘Bretigny’) Seal of Edward III, but of inferior execution and with differences: the King is clean shaven with a more youthful face; the design of the turrets of the canopy and the arrangement of the figures of the saints and the men at arms is not quite the same; the sinister plinth is at a higher level than the dexter; the floral decoration before the legend is not the same; the arms of France in the shields are Modern not Ancient.
