Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Long un-dyed cotton chemise. Made in several sections with a bodice, wide shoulder straps and tiered skirt. Square neck-line with narrow lace trimming which also runs around the armholes. The bodice is also trimmed with a wider band of lace and a strip of cut-work on the front which has a pale pink silk ribbon threaded through it. There are pin-tucks on the shoulders and gathers sewn into the tiers on the skirt, the last tier is bias cut. All sewing is by machine. The fastening at the back was a button closure but this has been sewn up and the buttons removed
