Swatches of tweed bound inside a rectangular shaped book covered in burgandy imitation leather (coated fabric). The front cover is decorated with a gold printed border, the words 'Handwoven Harris Tweeds produced in the Outer Hebrides' the company stamp and orb symbol. There is a code on the binding which reads T300 and the companies contact details are on the reverse. The left sides of the swatches appear to have been embedded in adhesive. On the end of the binding is a hanging loop made from yellow twisted rope.
The first swatch has a woven label of the type one would expect to find on the fininshed product. Each fabric has a square shaped white paper label adhered to the upper right corner, the first one reads 'WESSEX 9550 28/29 in HANDWOVEN HARRIS'. The following swatches has consecutive numbers till 9577.
The swatches consist of varsious patterns in various colours and pinked edges on three sides.
