Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Men and women infront of Abernant No.9 Pit, Aberdare, headframe. The surface group includes two women dressed in the traditional manner of Welsh colliery women. The original wooden headframe is shown indicating the depth of working was shallow. This colliery worked the second half of the 19th century and closed in 1910.
