Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Rough pillar-stone, with bold but neatly picked Latin inscription on one face.
Site Name: Tir Gwenlli, Llanfihangel Cwm Du
Notes: Original monument was first recorded as having stood in a field; 'Kae Gwynlhiw' (now Tir Gwenlli) by Edward Lhuyd in 1698/9. It is now located, built into a buttress on the S. side of the parish church (St. Michael's), to which the above grid reference refers. The original locality is about 1 mile S.S.W. of the church; the monument was moved to its present location in 1830, a fact recorded on a bronze plate in the church.
