Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Bulb-pot, pearlware, semi-circular shape with flat back and bow front, standing on three semi-circular feet, the front moulded with three arcaded panels with moulded foliate motifs in between, a strip of moulded circles along the top of the front side; the front side covered all over with silver lustre and decorated using silver resist techniques to the central panel below the arcading an elephant carrying a small building upon its back and to the two side panels a design of an elaborate draped vase with plants to either side, the moulded arcades, the foliate motifs and circles highlighted in white, above the arcading a white waving line, a delicate foliate pattern along the lower rim. Cover, pearlware, semi-circular shape with flat back and rounded top, the top of the cover pierced with three large and two small round holes, to the centre of the top an urn-shaped finial with high point; the top of the cover covered with silver lustre, this then decorated using silver resist techniques with around the rim a very worn border of leaves and pendant lines, a waving white line runs around the top of the cover in the gaps between the pierced holes, the finial highlighted in white. The cover badly broken and repaired.
