Ice pail, hard-paste porcelain, standing on three bun-shaped feet, basin-shaped body with cylindrical sides, the exterior sides moulded with raised floral sprays between short raised ribs, to either side of the body twin angular horizontal handles, the cover with flat top out of which rise cylindrical sides to form a basin shape, to the centre of the cover a vertical handle formed of two raised scrolls with foliate moulding to the terminal, the sides of the handle moulded with raised floral sprays between short raised ribs; finely painted in polychome enamels with around the exterior sides of the ice pail and the interior and exterior sides and top of the cover scattered sprays and sprigs of naturalistic flowers including roses and tulips, a few scattered foliate sprigs in green to the interior of the ice pail, puce bands around the feet and lip-rim of the ice pail and around the upper and lower rims of the cover, the three handles picked out in puce. One side of the ice pail broken and repaired.
