Decanter, lead glass, circular star-cut base, the body with tapering sides and concave neck cut into vertical flutes, faring lip-rim, stopper with ball-shaped finial cut into facets, around the centre of the body an acid-etched border of looping lines on a stippled ground with pendant drops, to the front of the body the acid-etched inscription "MERCANTILE CLUB/CARDIFF" on a circular banner with a crown above.
