Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Swatch of red woven wool fabric commissioned for 1969 Investiture chairs and supplied by David Lewis Ltd, Cambrian Mills, Drefach. This swatch is the untreated woollen fabric showing a darker red colour than the finished treated fabric. 4,600 chairs were produced for the Investiture ceremony held at Caernarfon Castle on 1 July 1969. The fabric was also used for the 4,000 souvenir cushions produced.
