Early Medieval ceramic crucible

Type series of knobs and restored bowls. Tall knob of irregular ovoid section in a porous fabric which is grey in fracture and buff to grey on the outer surface. There are some dark brown grains as well as much quartz in the backing. Slight traces of vitrification where the knob rises from the lid.
