Early Medieval human remains
These are moderately preserved remains from the inhumation burial of an young adult (17-25 years) who was probably female.
Traces of wood were recovered from the burial which may represent traces of a coffin.
The burial is Unphased, so not buried within the central Bronze Age mound but still within the vicinity of the Early Medieval cemetery.
They were buried in an extended supine position in a simple grave oriented Northwest-Southeast
Her bones show evidene of Degenerative Joint Disease and Perostitis. Her teeth show evidence of calculus and caries which are indicators of a carbohydrate heavy diet and poor dental hygiene.
