Cabinet cup, red earthenware, standing on a short cylindrical foot-rim, rounded sides, to either side of the body twin horizontal plain loop handles, flat round cover, to the centre of the cover a disc-shaped finial; covered all over with copper lustre, apart from the interior of the cup which is covered in pink lustre, this then decorated in gilt with around the exterior sides of the cup and the top of the cover a border of anthemions and acanthus leaves, gilt bands around the lower body, the lip-rim of the cup and the rim of the cover, the handles and the top of the finial painted in gilt. Saucer, red earthenware, circular shape with rounded foot-rim and rounded curving sides; covered all over with copper lustre, this then decorated in gilt with around the sides of the well a border of anthemions and acanthus leaves, a gilt band around the edge of the rim.
