Plate, ironstone china, circular shape with rounded foot-rim, cushion-moulded sides and spreading rim; transfer-printed in underglaze blue with touches of burnt sienna enamel with the 'Gothic' pattern, to the centre of the well a star-shaped design with a central cross, stylized flower heads at the points of the star and blue dots in between, border to the rim of a pattern of alternating stylized flower heads and leaves issuing from an underglaze blue and burnt sienna band with burnt sienna dots in between, an underglaze blue and brown enamel edge to the rim.
