Badge made from white satin ribbon, lower end cut into guidon-shape. Ribbon is sandwiched between shield-shapes of red card label with mock-leather surface and adhesive-coated linen. Front of card inscribed in gold print: 'Eisteddfod Genedlaethol Frenhinol Cymru, Beirniad Llen, Machynlleth, 1937'. Upper end of ribbon is threaded through metal pin fastening (gold coloured) and held in place under card. Handwritten inscription in black ink on reverse (on linen).
