Cream jug
Pardoe, Thomas (1770-1823)
Cream jug, oval shaped, soft-paste porcelain with an orange-buff translucency; standing on a straight sided foot rim, curved sides to shoulder, slightly concave curved collar and spout, high loop handle with an upper thumb spur; body painted with alternating stylised cornflower sprigs, and gilt leaf sprigs, and a trailing cornflower wreath around the collar and spout; gilt band to shoulder and lip, gilt leaf on handle.
