Vase and cover
Baluster shaped vase with swelling body narrowing at foot and at base. Shallow domed cover with overhanging edge and simple pointed knop. Body transfer printed on-glaze in manganese purple with two repeats of the Carnation pattern of oriental flowers and feathery foliage. Neck and rim of cover printed with a complex Oriental border of diapers, semi-circles and flower-heads.
