Smock
Round smock-frock of cotton twill, embroidered with fawn linen thread. Square flap collars Two flapped pockets. Two button opening at cuffs. The smocking stitches are cable, outline and wave. The embroidery is all in feather stitching in geometric designs on front and back boxes and on the collar. The smock came into the donor's family via a relative who was governor of Brecon jail in the 19th century.
