Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Samian bowl sherds of form Dr37. S78 is a Southern Gaulish late sherd of pink ware with a dull red gloss. The figure type is possibly a lion to the right. S79 is a Central Gaulish sherd from a small vessel of thin, fairly pale orange/red ware with an orange gloss. The left hand panel has a small gladiator with a helmet and shield (O.1059). Below is possibly a centauress to right (O.735A). In the central panel there is a draped female figure, facing right, with left hand raised. The right hand panel has a festoon containing sheep? to right. In the panel below there is a lion lying facing left (O.1421).
