Roman intaglio (Ceres)
Oval of cornelian. Face flat, back slightly convex. Depicts Ceres standing frontally but facing right. She wears a chiton and a peplos; around her head is a fillet. In her left hand is a dish of fruit and in her right two ears of corn. Ant in field to right.
