Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
An incomplete inhumation of an adult male aged 25-35 years (extended, supine) in a plain grave oriented west-east. The skeleton was damaged by modern digger activity.
Elements present: n=2 small crania fragments (with a red stain on the endocranial surface?), ribs, vertebrae, L and R scapula, pelvis, sacrum, R clavicle, sternum, unsided humerus fragment, L and R femur, L and R tibia, R distal fibula, L distal fibula, unsided fibula shaft, L and R tarsals, metacarpals/metatarsals, n=1 phalanx, miscellaneous unidentified fragments.
Possible intrusion: L calcaneus and an unfused bone suggesting a juvenile intrusion.
Microfauna elements were identified during repackaging and bagged separately.
A 'burial pebble' was also found in the grave.
