Pink synthetic taffeta party dress worn by seven year old Sybil Quick of Ely, Cardiff, to a friend’s birthday party in 1937.
The dress has a round neck surrounded by frill, and further two rows of frills at upper chest. Back fastening with two press studs. Short puff sleeves. Small bow of self fabric to proper right of waist, consisting of six loops, three of which appear to have been fixed in place with stitches (only one is still attached). Slit at proper left side of waist with fastening of three press studs. Skirt of four wide frills, all machine stitched, apart from the bow and the stud fasteners.
