Tray, tin-plate, oval boat-shaped form with the sides rising up to both ends; the underside covered with a black japan, the rest covered with a crimson japan and decorated in gilt, black and white with around the interior sides a design of leaves and flower heads on a stormont ground, a formal leaf border around the edge of the well.
