lovespoon carved by the late Dilwyn George Mears (a self taught woodcarver); consisting of one solid decorative panel and upper chain, carved loops with short stem for ladle, main centre panel is semi rectangular in design decorated with central leaf motifs and stippled background, upper sector is circular with centre cross design with heart decorations on a stippled background; upper holding loop is attached to a central loop with heart design in centre attached to other suspension loops, maker's club mark on reverse side, main holding loop is raised from reverse panel for attachments, reverse side finished with clear sealing wax
