Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Sherd from a rim and shoulder of a small Peterborough bowl. The surfaces are soft and friable and the fabric contains abundant angular stone inclusions up to 4mm across. The rim has an external moulding decorated with incised or fingernail herringbone. The neck is largely undecorated, though there are traces of a possible fingernail impression. The sherd has broken near the shoulder. The vessel may best be placed loosely within the Ebbsfleet substyle of the Impressed Ware tradition.
