Wooden clicking board. Used in "clicking" i.e. cutting the upper parts of boot or shoe. Made up of small blocks of wood clamped together so that the knife edge cuts across the grain. The surface has to be scraped and smoothed at frequent intervals to prevent it becoming rough. Has iron band around the edge.
