Unveiling of the mural at Llandough Hospital, Cardiff, on 9 May 1959. The mural was sponsored by National Union of Mineworkers and Medical Research Council. Designed by ex-Bevin Boy Michael Edmonds. It was made and fixed to the wall of the Pneumoconiosis Research Unit by Poole Pottery, Poole, Dorset.
