Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Cloth doll wearing white dress. Torso, head, arms, but no legs or hair. Round stuffed head with facial features (eyes and mouth) stitched in dark thread. Arms made from rolled up fabric. Long dress gathered at the neck, with hem cut in a zig-zag pattern. Doll and dress made from the same white/grey fabric. Fabric: 4/1 twill; thin light coloured warps and thicker (2-ply/S-twist), darker wefts.
Described in past documentation as a ghost doll from the Gironde, or as "Cato ou Catin, Environs de Bourg", from Bourg, E. France, 1901.
