Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
A large white patinated chisel arrowhead. The barb is complete and the 'hook' is at right angles to the barb. The edges of the barb have been carefully, but marginally, retouched on both faces leaving the chisel cutting edge unmodified.
Flint traverse arrowhead, 3000-2500 BCE, from Merthyr Mawr, south-east Wales. Pieces of bone or antler were used to press thin flakes from the edge of a piece of flint.
