Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
LINEN, unbleached, embroidered with coloured wools and brown silk in cross and eyelet stitches. At the top is the text: "Rejoice in the Lord o ye righteous for praise / is comely for the upright sing unto the Lord / o ye saints of his and give thanks at the / Remembrance of his holiness". Beneath, within a lozenge-shaped compartment, is the inscription: "Mary Long Aged 10 Years / 1839". At the bottom there is a house and fenced garden flanked by trees and flowering plants in pots. The remaining space contains floral, bird and geometric designs. The top and sides have a border of a wavy stem with strawberries.
