Teapot and cover, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a foot rim, globular body, up-turned spout springing from a mask, C-scoll handle with moulded terminals, domed cover with pagoda-shaped finial, chain linking handle, cover and spout; decorated in gilt with two landscapes with chinoiserie figures, one of a coconut palm with three chinoiserie figures on either side, another of a tree in the centre with three chinoiserie figures on either side, four standing and two seated, both scenes standing on platforms with gilt scroll brackets, gilding to foot rim, handle, spout and shoulders; cover decorated in gilt with three birds, gilding to rim and finial.
