Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Woollen canvas, embroidered with coloured silks in cross stitch. At the top are the following texts: "Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy / Youth while the evil days come not nor the / Years draw nigh when thou shalt say I have / No Pleasure in them". "I Love them that love me and those / that seek me early shall find me". At the bottom, within a floral wavy stem there is an arch with two columns surmounted by birds. Within the arch, beneath a crown, is a flowering plant growing from a pot, Above is a spray of rose buds, The rest of the space contains temple, floral, bird and dog designs symmetrically arranged in pairs. At the bottom is the date 1828 and the inscription: "Margaret Powell her Work aged 12 yrs". There is a border of a floral wavy stem.
