Roman copper alloy plate
Oblong of bronze with an incised boarder around three sides and possibly also along the bottom. In the centre of the top there is a slightly raised lump with a curving top edge, this may be the remains of a ring. Both ends have the remains of curnved terminals about half the width of the main body. Surface generally pitted but evidently originally smooth, no evidence of working on it.
Badly battered.
