Middle Bronze Age gold ring
This is a double-wire penannular ring with looped terminals. It is made from a continuous loop of round-sectioned gold wire that has been folded over and bent into shape. It has deformed through crushing, probably while in the ground. The exact function of this object is uncertain but it may have been a finger-ring, earring, hair-ring, or other jewellery ornament.

Find Information
Site Name: Talwrn Farm, Llanwrthwl
Notes: Single find. It was found on 8th April 1958 on a sandy surface while opening up a course to divert water from a small spring. It is possible it was washed out from the spring, immediately south of the road running down the Dulas valley, approximately 160m east of the farm. The findspot is a mile and a half from the point at which the gold torc hoard (54.306) was found.
