The base of a large Lezoux ware samian cup of form Dr33. The fabric is thin, hard pink ware, with a glossy smooth slip. There is a clear footring impression from the firing process visible in the upper surface. The base has a clean and complete stamp that reads: LOLLIVS.F. This is the stamp of the potter Lollius ii. Likely to date from AD 140-170 (Hadrianic).
