Built 1942 as EMPIRE RECORD by Wm. Gray & Co Ltd., West Hartlepool, for MoWT (managed by Stanhope Steamship Co Ltd). 1948 – Sold to Stanhope SS Co Ltd (J.A. Billmeir & Co.) and renamed STANWAY. 1951 – Sold to Williamson Shipping Co. Ltd. (managed by Comben, Longstaff & Co.), London and renamed YORKBROOK. 1954 – Sold to I. Jansen of Norway and renamed ELISABETH JANSEN. 1959 – Sold to Marine Venture Corp., New York, and renamed CELIA B. 1963 - Sold to Prymo Meltemi Cia. Nav. SA, Panama, and renamed SAINT MARY. 1964 – Sold to Angelmar Shipping Co. Ltd., Panama, and renamed SEA MAID. On 7th January 1965 she lost her propeller and suffered engine damage. Towed to Willelmstad, she was declared a total loss. Sold for scrap, she was eventually broken up at Bilbao in 1969.
