Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Dish, soft-paste porcelain with a creamy buff translucency; standing on a straight sided, stepped, circular base, curving into a pillar support with a central ridge; dish with rounded and flared sides, lobed lip moulded with c-scrolls and ribbon-tied flowers and foliage, and groove moulded cavetto; painted with an asymmetrical arrangement of a large flower spray and three single sprays, and single flowers within each c-scroll moulding around the edge; exterior of dish painted with six single flowers including a pink rose, honeysuckle, lilac and convolvulus; gilt bands to the lip and foot rim.
