Medieval silver gilt finger ring

Silver-gilt ring bezel fragment from a 'fede' or devotional ring

The bezel is in the form of an angel holding a sacred heart. The angel's right wing is represented by ridges for feathers and the hoop at this point has the form of a flat band. The ring has broken into two sections and the detail is worn.
