A horizontal multi-bladed wind wheel mounted on a vertical spindle transmits energy by means of a pair of bevel spur wheels to a horizontal shaft which in turn transmits power via two bevel spurs to two half shafts mounted in line one with another. The two bevel wheels can be moved into and out of mesh with the drive shaft gear at will. At the outer ends of the half shafts are several wooden pulley wheels to operate spits. Two grease caps missing.
