Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Lamp, tin-plate, in the shape of a Roman lamp, with high circular foot, boat-shaped body with to the centre of the top a wide tapering cylindrical neck with an aperture at the top; covered all over with a black japan and decorated in gillt with to either end of the body a mask of a male head surrounded by a border of stylized leaves, a stylized floral border around the neck, a further border of stylied leaves around the lower body and a gilt band around the foot. At some point the lamp has been wired for electricity with a metal light-bulb fitting in the aperture at the top and a long cord terminating in a plug issuing from the top of the foot.
